Shreya Ghoshal has a Bengali wedding
The news of National Award winning singer Shreya Ghoshal's wedding to her long-time boyfriend Shiladitya Mukhopadhyaya in Mumbai came as a big surprise for her fans and followers. The singer, we hear, tied the knot in a traditional Bengali wedding ceremony on Thursday , which was attended by close friends and family members.
Later, Shreya herself revealed the big news on her social networking page and wrote, “Married the love of my life yesterday night (5th Feb) in a beautiful Bengali traditional wedding in the presence of our families and closest friends. Shiladitya and I both seek your good wishes in this exciting new phase of our lives!“(sic).
In the wedding photo, Shreya looked every bit the traditional Bengali bride with gold accessories, a big red bindi and white and red motifs on her forehead.
On January 29, the singer had spilled the beans about her impending marriage.“Don't know if I'm super nervous or super excited... Never felt like this b4. Whatever I am up to I will let u know soon... but need ur wishes,“ Shreya tweeted. As per sources, Shiladitya is a Mumbaibased entrepreneur and the founder of an IT firm.
The playback singer, who started her career with Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Devdas in 2002, has crooned many soulful numbers in all South Indian languages. In the Mollywood front, she has won the Kerala State Award for the best female playback singer for her song
